Thermal Imaging systems measure the temperature accurately by reading the IR radiation emitted from the body. Infrared or IR radiations are electromagnetic radiations of longer wavelengths that are beyond the range of human eyesight. And since all objects emit a certain level of radiation, Thermal Imaging systems use sensors to identify the temperature of a focal point or form a heat distribution map of the given area.
The Thermal Imaging systems are equipped with thermopile infrared sensor arrays that capture the infrared radiations of a given area and convert them to electronic signals. The processor then analyzes the signals and forms a heat distribution map for visual representation, producing the accurate temperature readings of a given spot almost instantly.
